How it works

Three steps, then just drive

    Set your destination

    Search for where you're going and tap Preview Route to see the distance, drive time and cameras along the way.

    Tap Start This Trip. Your route is on the map, and the next camera ahead is always shown with its distance.

Coming next

License-plate reader cameras on the map

An optional map layer that shows the locations of license-plate reader (ALPR) cameras, such as Flock cameras, so you know where they are. It's for information only, never triggers alerts, and you can switch it off in Settings.

ALPR locations come from OpenStreetMap contributors and are incomplete and unverified. Em-Powered AI is not affiliated with Flock Safety or any ALPR vendor.

Camera locations are compiled from public and open-data sources, so you see the same cameras your city already publishes.

Questions, answered

Which phones does Em-Powered AI work on?

Em-Powered AI is on the App Store for iPhone (iOS 15 or later). An Android version is coming soon.

Where does it work?

Wherever public camera data exists. Coverage is strongest in major US metropolitan areas, such as Chicago and Washington, DC, and grows over time.

Is the camera data always accurate?

We use public and open-data sources, which can be incomplete or out of date. Em-Powered AI is an aid to help you drive informed. It's not a substitute for paying attention and following posted limits.

Do I need an account?

Yes. You sign in with a username and password, and we email you a 6-digit code to confirm it's you. You can delete your account at any time.

Who makes Em-Powered AI?

Em-Powered AI is built by Onshore Technology Consultants. It's an independent app and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government agency.
